Opening the doors to Impact Funding and Ownership

In a bold move to reshape the entrepreneurship and investment landscape, Capital House and WorldStartup have joined forces to launch the Regenerative Capital Room. Together, we aim to progress impact investing by fostering connections, mutual learning, and driving impactful funding models.

Addressing the Need for Change

“In a world where traditional investments often prioritise financial gain over social and environmental well-being, there is a need for regenerative capital initiatives. With a mission to champion funding models that deliver both financial returns and positive impact, we are thrilled to open up the Regenerative Capital Room in collaboration with Capital House. Within this space, we will ignite forward-thinking conversations, delving into innovative models of funding, governance, and business ownership designed to drive meaningful change.”

A Room for Collective Action and Collaboration

Serving as a space for community, learning, and collaboration, the Regenerative Capital Room invites anyone interested in transforming how we fund, own, and govern innovations that drive positive change: Impact startups, progressive investors, city representatives as well as impact entrepreneurship hubs, experts, researchers and other ecosystem players.

First Ecosystem: Amsterdam is Embracing the Conversation

Powered by StartupAmsterdam, the Regenerative Capital Room is set to launch in Amsterdam at A Beautiful Mess. Kicking off in October 2024, the room will start with a thought-leadership event series, which will invite participants to bring forward challenges related to the specific theme of each event in the series. Together with peers and experts, they will engage in collaborative discussions, and leave with actionable insights and strategies.

Starting with an Event Series Built on Progressive Values

The event series is founded on three pillars:

  • Progressive: Challenges the status-quo and inspires big-picture thinking.
  • Inspirational: Conversations that spark new ideas and motivate action.
  • Community: Informal, activity-based sessions fostering mutual learning.

And will explore topics such as:

  • Alternative Funding Paths: Discuss new ways to fund impactful startups that go beyond traditional models.
  • Progressive Ownership: Discover innovative ownership models and governance structures for equitable and sustainable growth, and how they can be applied.

Building a Brighter Future Together

The event series in Amsterdam marks the beginning of a larger series aimed at exploring regenerative capital pathways. As entrepreneurs, investors and entrepreneurship ecosystem players, we have the power to build a world where financial success goes hand in hand with social and environmental impact, creating a legacy that will endure for generations to come. Join us in this journey towards a brighter and more sustainable future.
